A lifelong mover and dancer, my journey into body began as a competitive gymnast, which carried me to my vault specialty at the University of Iowa. A herniated disc my sophomore year led to surgery and a recovery that left me hungry and curious. Body Poetry was born from this curiosity as I dove into the worlds of dance, bodywork, somatics, neuroscience, and embodiment to heal my body. in 2014, I completed my training as an Ilan Lev Method practitioner, a touch/movement modality that nourishes the body and nervous system through circular and spiral-based movement.Body Poetry seeks to blend movement practice with spoken and written word.
